Great choice for trip. Incredibly beautiful hotel, kind staff in a magnificent position. The rooms spotless, airy with comfy bed, a very nice shower, the thickest blankets ever. Great breakfasts and delicious food available. Location near a home away from home, and which was a lot of fun...

Lovely accommodation with garden, terrace, and restaurant. Conveniently located near the airport and Hakgala Botanical Garden. Free wifi available. Staff can arrange car rental.
Oh, just the minor inconvenience of having to pay cash instead of using a card. How quaint!

The Hill Town Cottage provided a warm and cozy atmosphere that made me feel right at home. The cottage's British decor and charming general areas created a nostalgic ambiance, reminiscent of a bygone era. As a senior woman, I appreciated the accessibility of the hotel, with easy navigation and comfortable seating arrangements throughout the property. It was a delight to relax in the shared lounge area, surrounded by beautiful garden views.
Only suggestion for improvement would be slight noise reduction during festive events near the lake area. Nonetheless, I understand that this may have affected all nearby hotels, and the children working there were doing their best to ensure a pleasant stay.

We had an amazing stay at Hill Town Cottage. the staff were incredibly friendly and hospitable, making us feel right at home. the food was delicious, with a variety of fresh fruits, eggs, toast, and tea for breakfast. the room was spotlessly clean and comfortable, with plenty of blankets to keep us warm. We also enjoyed the cozy common area and the mini garden outside. Ragu, one of the staff members, was especially fantastic, providing excellent service with a warm smile. Cons: Can't fault the property in any way! ⭐️.

After a day of exploring the breathtaking tea plantations, we returned to The Hill Town Cottage to find a cozy fireplace waiting for us. We snuggled up together as a family, sipping on hot cocoa and sharing stories of our adventures. It was the perfect way to unwind after a day filled with hiking, cycling, and fishing.
My children wanted a small playground or outdoor area where they could run and play.

The Hill Town Cottage is a great little place for a short stay. The location is perfect, very close to the town center and on top of a hill, offering stunning views. The rooms are cozy and clean, with all the necessary amenities. The staff is friendly and helpful, always ready to assist you with your plans and offering delicious breakfast. The WiFi may be a bit wobbly at times, but it's not a major issue.
The only downside is the occasional noise from the barking dogs in the middle of the night, which can be a bit of a nuisance.

We had a fantastic stay at Hill Town Cottage! the location was perfect - just a 5-minute walk from the city center but tucked away from the noisy streets. Our room was spacious and impeccably clean, with a modern bathroom and a super comfortable bed. We loved the terrace with its sitting area, overlooking the beautiful lawn and flowers. the best part, however, was the amazing staff. They went above and beyond to fulfill all our requests, from arranging transportation to Horton Plains to preparing a delicious Sri Lankan breakfast and even catering to our special dinner request.
We truly felt at home thanks to their warmth and hospitality. Cons: Didn't dislike anything about the property 👍.
